1099s will be issued mid-January.
This year, we’ll be using Track1099 to send 1099s and they will all be issued electronically via email. The email address and mailing address listed in your 1099 is pulled directly from the information entered in your AdThrive dashboard.
1099s are only issued to publishers who submitted a W9 and were paid $600 or more in 2018. Please note that this data was pulled on January 1, 2019 so any changes made to the information on file after that date will not be reflected in your 2019 1099. If you need an updated 1099, please let us know.
What will the email look like?
Subject: 1099-MISC from AdThrive, LLC
From: Track1099 1099 & W-2 <email@example.com>
Once you click the large blue "Retrieve Your 1099-MISC" button, a new window will open up to this page:
You'll need to verify your identity by entering either the last 4 digits of your social security number (SSN) or employer identification number (EIN), depending on which you used to fill out your W9 in the AdThrive dashboard. You can check on that by logging in to your dashboard, clicking on your initials in the top right corner and selecting 'Account.' Click through the steps until you get to step 3: Tax Forms, and click where it says "To view the W9 information you submitted click here." Under "Account Numbers", it will list which tax identification number you entered on the W9 form.
After you log in, your 1099 form will load and you can choose to download or print. Nice and simple!
A few things to remember:
- 1099s are only issued to publishers who submitted a W9 and were paid $600 or more in 2018.
- Any changes made to your dashboard information on file after January 1, 2019 will not be reflected in your 1099 and you’ll need to email us so we can get you an updated 1099.
- Paypal has their own tax form reporting system and is a separate section of the U.S. tax code, so you will not receive a 1099 from AdThrive if you use Paypal.
Your 1099 from AdThrive should match the payments you received in 2018. Because we pay on a net-45 schedule, those payments will be offset from each month’s earnings. For example, November 2018 and December 2018 earnings are not included, because those pay out in January 2019 and February 2019.
You can confirm the total amounts you received from AdThrive in 2018 by logging in to your dashboard and selecting the Payments tab. From there, you can even export your entire payment history to Excel to simplify your record keeping!
