Monetizing the videos on your site with our premium campaigns doesn’t mean you have to abandon your YouTube subscribers! Many publishers post videos to YouTube (to build their YouTube subscriber list and drive traffic to their own site) AND post the same videos on their site through their AdThrive Custom Video Player. That way you get the best of both worlds: the higher-paying premium ads on your site, plus the traffic benefits of YouTube.
In order to move your video files from YouTube, you can download them directly using Google Takeout.
In the top right corner, make sure your correct YouTube account is selected. If you have your videos listed under a Brand account, you'll want to select that account instead of your main account.
Hit "Select None" and then scroll down to bottom of the page and select the YouTube toggle:
Hit the dropdown arrow for YouTube and toggle to "Select Specific Data," click on "YouTube Data:"Google is going to compile all your videos in to a zip file. At this point, you will have two main options for how to handle this zip file:You'll want to forward the email to email@example.com and make sure that the Google login info is up to date in your AdThrive secure shared Google Spreadsheet. The AdThrive team will download your archive and let you know when we're finished!
Make sure only "videos" is selected:
Click OK and then Next and you'll get this screen:
1) You can have Google send you a link to the zip file that you can download. If you'd like the AdThrive team to download your videos for you we can do that but we will need to login under the same Google ID to retrieve the zip file.
2) You can select the "Add to Drive" or "Add to Dropbox" option and have Google send the zip file to your Google Drive or your Dropbox. From your Google Drive, you can then share the zip file with our video team (see below for more info on that!)
Hit Create Archive and Google will start to zip everything together:
After it's finished, if you opted to send it to your Google Drive you'll want to open the file in your Drive and share it with our team. Select Open in Drive:
From Google Drive, you'll want to select the three vertical dots in the top right and click Share:
Share it with firstname.lastname@example.org
If you selected the email option, you'll get an email from Google:
